History

Incorporated in 2003 from the Carol City and Opa-locka North areas, Miami Gardens is one of Miami-Dade's newest cities and has the largest Black population of any city in Florida. It's home to Hard Rock Stadium, home field for the Miami Dolphins and host to Super Bowls and the Miami Grand Prix.
